- Title - One Small Leap
- Project - A multiple award winning short film made by Magma Productions. Winner, Best UK Short, Raindance 2003, Winner, Cocotte-Minute Prix, Brest Film Festival 2003, HTV Award, Brief Encounters 2002, Best Director, Capalbio International Film Festival 2003, F.I.C.E Award, Capalbio International Film Festival 2003.
- Brief – I was asked by the film-makers to write a country and western song to an exact length. It had to have elements of humour and a distinctly mid-western feel. 'Dolores Dime' was born. Sung and produced by collaborator Jeremy Radway.
- Result -‘We gave James a guide track by Merle Haggard, which had been at no 1 in the US charts in 1969. James then made a completely authentic sounding ballad from scratch which had all the hallmarks of authenticity we needed to match the era. It’s a brilliantly creative piece of composition and arrangement which works wonderfully for the film.' James Walker- Writer/Director, Magma Pictures
